Welcome to Chemical Biology and Biocatalysis Group
We are a dynamic group focused on the study and design of new artificial catalysts and nanomaterials for their evaluation in biological processes and application in different research areas (fine chemistry, bioremediation, energy, climate change, etc.) The developed research lines involve Nanocatalysis, Nanobiotechnology, Nanoparticle biosynthesis, catalytic nanomaterials artificial metalloenzymes, heterogeneous catalysis, Protein Chemistry, Biocatalysis, sustainable chemical transformations, chemical biology.
This group is part of Department of Biocatalysis in The Institute of Catalysis and Petroleochemistry of CSIC, founded by Prof. JM Palomo in 2012.
